My "senior page"

When we were graduating from Kodai school in May of 1998 our class, or certain members of our class, were responsible for putting together a yearbook for the school. One section of this yearbook was dedicated to the senior class (us, for those who haven't been following) and we each had to do a page or half page to serve as a reminder of our time in school...I guess. Well, I 'seized' the opportunity and went for a full page. Unlike most 'normal' people though, I went ahead and wrote stuff on it, without including a single picture of people...or myself. It's not like I regret not putting up any pictures though. Well, I came across this when I was rummaging in the cupboard, and I thought I'd post it.

In the cupboard? Well, it 'resides' in a black leather folder, intended for the safekeeping of all 'important' school documents I guess, and gifted to us at the end of the commencement ceremony the night before Grad day. Confused? So was I...and being hung over for graduation didn't help either. In fact, I'm reminded of the conversation that I had while standing on the steps...before walking across the stage/floor to climb another couple of steps and receive my diploma from Dr. Chrispal. I was telling Moses how terrified I was of tripping and falling flat on my face, especially as I descended the mini flight of steps, and then Hoseah pointed out that I should attempt to do a "forward roll" and make it seem like it was planned or something. Thankfully, it didn't come to that. I did, however, have a tough time trying to get off the stage because as soon as I received the diploma and shook Dr. Chrispal's hand, I found myself assaulted by an assortment of potted plants. I even considered doing a "hail mary" type thing and just jumping well clear of the pots. Thank God I didn't. I finally managed to hack a way through a small gap in the line of pots, using my diploma as a machete. How hilarious that was. Imagine if it did come to the forward roll though. I'd probably never be able to live it down...like the time I dove into Berijam lake and hit 'rock bottom'. Ouch? Damn right! Only one person to thank for that...he he he...and you know who you are...
