Phelps' life!

Here's the picture that I promised in the last post. Well, I didn't check to see if I'd posted it before, but who cares. The guys in the picture are now al over the world and doing various different things. There are, of course, a few people missing from the original gang, but this is most of us. The interesting thing about this picture is that it was the first one taken for the Eucy, our school yearbook in Kodai, and it ended up NOT making it because everyone wasn't there...or because it was too dark or something. Well, I'm glad that they took this picture, and I just wanted to post it, you know, for the sake of memories...and reminiscing about how things were in a time not so long ago.

From Left to Right

Back Row (Standing) - Meren, Vaibhav, Sattyan, Paritosh, Abhijeet, Kunal, Me
Middle Row (Kneeling) - Harjoth, Jayanth, Raoul, Rajen, Allen, Josh
Front Row (Sitting) - Poulose, Satyajit, Kirtiman, Arunoday, Kunal, Dae-shik, Josh, Among, Johann, Nakul
Missing - Noel, Luv & Kush Sinha, David, Singye, Martin, Takashi, Velan...

I can't remember who else was in dorm at the time. Notice that Mrs. Samuel, our dormparent, and wife of Mr. Samuel, our former dormparent, isn't in the picture. So, I've always wondered about why they took the photo in the first place. Well, it's really nice to look at things like this once in a while and think back to a time when life was different, and you had a lot less to worry about. Now the aim is to realize and eventually achieve a state of being that involves no worrying at all...or to be conscious of it and realize that because it's such an integral part of our lives we would stand us in better stead to focus our energies on dealing with it rather than complaining about it. Oh well, I'll drink to that any day.

Now that I think about it, there was even a time when we used to go around school saying "Phel Dorm" in what seemed to be some early form of dialogue developed by Neanderthal man.
