Saw this guy outside my apartment and decided I wanted to take a picture. If nothing else, it's a welcome change from the images of the infamous bovine residents of India's streets. However, as I was thinking this in my head, the 'subject' decided to play hard-to-get and proceeded to cross the road, alighting briefly on a neighboring boundary wall.
In hot pursuit, and somewhat stealthily I imagine, I remained close on the heels of my primate photo opportunity. As it turns out, I think I startled him because when he glanced back and saw me right behind him, he mounted a brief charge, with teeth bared. And, that is why he is looking directly at the camera.
I'd like to thank God for letting me take this picture unharmed. Oh, and I'd like to thank the monkey for keeping its cool...and for offering to show me its 'best side'.
