Hiatus - An unwitting break

I seem to have gone on a little blogging spree in the last couple of months, only to be thwarted by my trusty equipment giving up on me. So, in these sad and unfortunate times, I have no recourse than to once again provide an excuse for why there is a sudden silence on this blog? What happened to all the nonsense that kept showing up from one day to the next? Well, and particularly for those of you breathing a sigh of relief because I seem to be facing "down time" at the moment, I just wanted to tell you that things are on the way back. A very slow and steady sort of way back, to be honest, but still bouncing back dammit!

For the rest of you who wonder what sort of moody blogger, or victim of general life ADHD that I am, I have to say that even if I am these things, I do want to make the effort to maintain what I have to say even though no one may want to listen to it. I mean, that is why I have this blog, isn't it? The name, as strange as it may appear to most, is the question "why are we who we are" without the question mark at the end. Having said that, and simply because I cannot seem to let a bit of blog philosophy and background pass without putting in my two cents - even if I have done it several times before - I was trying to ask a question about the reason for why we are, perhaps even who we imagine ourselves to be, implying that we already know this answer. Not impressed? Well, impressing my public, if such a group exists, has never been my aim. It's like common sense; no one is impressed by its presence in other people, but many are irked by its absence.

But, here I sit, thwarted blogger. Waiting for another day in the sun, because there's always more than one. Before I go, I'd like to leave you with a little picture of kind of how I'm feeling at the moment. Enjoy it while the link to the host website is still active...copyright infringment and all that.

I'd like to credit the cartoonist for coming up with this one. And here's the site I got the cartoon from...
