The first rays striking my naked flesh,
Early morning light.
My eyes slowly unclose,
To let in the world around me.
Beautiful as the day I've never met her.
I wait and watch.
A moment so perfect,
That I will it into an eternity.
In rapt attention like I've always imagined her.
I look closely.
A beauty so tender,
I dare not destroy it with my heinous touch.
So close and yet, so very far.
I see the future.
A moment I may never know,
But one that defines my existence.
Brought to life by my simple mind.
