This is where I've been working since the middle of October last year. It's nice and cosy, and quite homely too. Nice place to work. The people are great! And, there's nothing like being the boss, as "Centre Head" of this institute. :)
Honestly, well, this job leaves a lot to be desired because of a major lack of support from the franchiser. Also, it's been a rather thorough learning experience for me in several ways. I learned what it was like to have power and not abuse it. I learned what people are really like in front of "the boss" and what they're like when he's not around. Or when I wasn't around, I guess I should say. And, I also learned what it was like to have to exhibit the many faces of moi depending on the situation; happy, proud, annoyed, upset, angry and just plain blowing my top. I learned what it was like to be the average Indian manager. Most of all though, I learned about all the obstacles that can get in the way of ideas, no matter how simple they may be. I guess I finally learned that there are those people who are genuinely motivated to making things happen, and there are others whose life's ambition and purpose it is to make sure that things don't happen. It's been tough, and I can't say that I've survived it gracefully. But, I've lived. This far, at least.
As with my life in the last couple of years, this is soon going to be the place that I used to work. A few more pictures to capture the essence of my days as a "Centre Head", coming up. Alright, if not "the essence", at least a couple of other shots of the outside of the office.
And life still goes on...;)
