Meet the musanda. It's a beautiful flower, if I must say so myself. Here's the interesting thing, however, the actual flower is only the little yellow blossom you see in the midst of all the pink. The pink petals are false petals, being modified leaves that change color in the immediate vicinity of the blossom.
Whatever the case, this is still a beautiful flower, with it's velvet pink false petals. Pink, as it turns out, is the most common variety of musanda, the other more exotic colors being white and red.
