Found this outside on the porch this morning. It's a rat, split wide open, and being made a meal of by aunts. The cats weren't around, almost as if they were trying to avoid suspicion. All 15 of them!
Because it was one of the first things I saw when I woke up, I was tempted to stick labels on the different internal organs and do a mini anatomy session. Too bad my knowledge in this area is limited.
One last thing, and that is that these cats are not otherwise deprived of nourishment. They're fed almost five times a day, and whenever they beg for something. It's insane! I keep telling my family to not give in to these sad meows. But, coming back to their well-fed status, it doesn't seem to curb their instinct to hunt. Saw this on a BBC special once. Now I'm experiencing it first-hand.
