The Setting Sun at Mahe Creek

View of Mahe Creek from near the bridge
Thought this scene looked rather nice, and so I couldn't help but take a picture of it. You can't see the surroundings, thank God, because everything outside of the frame is just one huge pile of rubbish.

This picture was taken on the way out of Mahe, on the left hand side of the ramp leading up to the Mahe bridge (Mayyizhi paalam). This is the side that looks out at the creek emptying out into the ocean beyond. And although you can't see it, the effect of the sunlight on the water a couple of hours before sunset, and the low branches, well, I don't know, it just seemed to be so picturesque in the midst of all that putrid garbage that surrounded it. The boat seemed to add to the overall effect. Definitely one of the better moments in Mahe, considering most of the rest of one's time is spent avoiding potholes and fallen drunks on the sidewalk.
